Blog Action Day - Walk NO GOLF CARTS!
I'm not a big fan of the words "Save the Planet" - I'm a fan of saying "Save Ourselves" more.
My 3 recommendations:
Don't build cart paths.
Walk don't ride a golf cart (if you can).
Ignore the USGA's groove change rule - what a waste of good golf clubs.
Cheers

You are right. Walking and carrying your bag has so many benefits: to your game, your personal fitness, and the environment. If the bag gets to heavy for 18 holes try leaving some clubs home and cleaning out your bag of things you don’t need.
ReplyDeleteIf your club does not allow walking make it your mission to get like-minded members together and make your case.
the health benefits of golf are extensively documented, why remove most of those benefits by using a golf cart.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with you that using golf cart make golfers lazy. They becoming paunchy without walking. It is good for health to walk on green course in fresh air.
