There are several live oaks in the picture because we wanted to hide the pump station as much as possible. It is quite far from the irrigation lake. It worked out well as it is closer to the maintenance area and easier to monitor. We do have it hooked up electronically to our control system, but Don is a believer in using your eyes also.
I'll show how much further we hid the maintenance facility later.
Mike,
ReplyDeleteLook forward to following the blog.
Where are you getting your irrigation water from? Is the pond on the course natural (I'm thinking not), or is it being filled from a well?
Just curious.
Thank you Jeff.
ReplyDeleteRight now we are getting it from rain. We have a well, but it looks like we'll never need it...
I ASSUME YOU ARE USING A CENTRIFIGAL PUMP WITH A LONG HORIZONTAL INTAKE PIPE FROM A LAKE, HOW DO YOU KEEP IT PRIMED, DOES IT WORK OK, IT IT AUTOMATIC PRIME
ReplyDeleteHowdy William
ReplyDeleteIf you click the irrigation label you'll see several other images of the intake & pump.
3 60 hp vertical pumps with VFD = 1500 gpm
one 5 hp pressure pump to maintain pressures
the intake is long at wolf point to keep the pump house in the woods
it works great
